Landfill Construction Quality Assurance Technician
Atlantic Coast Consulting, Inc. (ACC), is a multi-discipline engineering consulting firm that specializes in solid waste design and construction. We are based in Roswell, Georgia and have an open Landfill Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) position for job sites throughout the United States. This position is a full-time, year-round position and requires at least 1 to 2 years of proven solid waste field inspection work or 3 to 4 years of proven heavy civil soil testing and inspection experience.
The position requires extensive travel to job sites for periods of time, typically around 3 to 9 months at a time (per diem allowance and vehicle are provided for out of town assignments). Our additional minimum requirements are listed below:
Qualifications

Key character requirements are dependability, timeliness and honesty.

The ability to read and interpret project specifications and plans related primarily to earthworks, geosynthetics and drainage structures.

The ability to work hours typically in excess of 60 hrs per week on a 6 to 7 day per week schedule.

Poses the ability to communicate well, both written and orally, with co-workers, clients, contractors and State agencies.

The ability to take well-documented notes on construction activities performed by contractors and on soil tests performed.

The ability to perform in-place soils density testing is a must and the ability to monitor geosynthetics installation work is a plus. Please provide specific projects you worked on and your role on those projects. Having a copy of your radiation safety/nuclear density user certification and experience using nuclear density gauges is a big plus.

Having experience testing soils and/or geosynthetics in a laboratory setting is a plus.

Must have the ability to lift weight of approximately 100 pounds.

Must have a minimum of High School diploma or higher educational background.

Must have a clean driver’s record.

Salary
Salary will be very competitive, depending on experience, with an excellent benefits package which includes medical, dental and vision coverage. Additionally, there will be paid personal time off and an optional 401K program. Hours in excess of 40 in a week’s time will be paid at a time and a half.

Landfill Gas Extraction System/Environmental Technician
Atlantic Coast Consulting, Inc. (ACC), a multi-discipline engineering consulting firm based in Roswell, Georgia has an open, full-time position for a Landfill Gas Extraction System/Environmental Technician. The position will require travel to job sites throughout the Southeast.
Primary Duties

Complete landfill gas system wellfield balancing in accordance with regulatory guidelines

Prepare wellfield monitoring reports
-
Complete landfill gas extraction system maintenance activities including flare system maintenance, condensate pump station maintenance, and other system components as specified by the manufacturers’ specification. Activities may require heavy lifting and work at heights (30 -40 feet).

Assist in the compliance reporting for landfill gas system under the regulatory permitting program
Secondary Duties

Conduct environmental monitoring and/or sampling activities

Maintain liquid removal pumps installed in vapor recovery wells as needed

Program environmental monitoring equipment
-
Complete unscheduled landfill gas system repairs after component failure
Required Skills

Detail oriented, take well-documented notes on field activities you perform

Lift weight of approximately 75 pounds; able to walk/stand for extended periods (several hours)
