Landfills, Race Tracks, and ACC: A Winning Combination

A great example of compatible adjacent land use is when a landfill and a race track are located next to each other. ACC has been privileged to work at two such sites where the race tracks have long and storied history with NASCAR. ACC provided construction documents and CQA services for the construction of a new cell at Allied Waste's Charlotte Motor Speedway Landfill. The speedway, now known as Lowe's Motor Speedway, is located next to this MSW landfill. ACC also provided consulting services at the Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia which is immediately adjacent to a C&D Landfill. Dixie Speedway is where Georgia NASCAR legend Bill Elliot began his career.
