Atlantic Coast Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and achievement-oriented individual to assist in the design of solid waste, civil/site, and water/wastewater utility projects. General tasks may include:
Preparation of permit and construction plans including grading design, roadway design, site design, utilities and stormwater management design, erosion and sediment control design as well as profiles, details, and volume calculations
Research local and state regulations
Obtain required permits
Coordination of construction specifications
Successful candidate will prepare drawings using Civil 3D as well as other various design software. Candidate must have working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and be proficient in Microsoft Office Package, 5-10 years of experience with a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering. PE license in Georgia preferred. Candidate should also be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate in both oral and written media and be able to function effectively both independently and on teams.

ACC is looking for an individual to assist in environmental compliance and sampling services to fill the role of Environmental Technician/Scientist. This position is based out of Roswell, Georgia.
General tasks may include:
Groundwater, surface water, and storm water sampling
Post closure care site inspections
Various field data collection and data reports
Regulatory file review and research
Assistance with monitoring well installation and development
Client interaction when performing job duties
Candidate should have 0-4 years of experience with a minimum of a two year environmental science degree or related field from an accredited college or university. Candidate should be able to function effectively both independently and on teams and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
This position will include field work and overnight travel. Candidate must have a clean driving record and drug screening, be capable of performing physically demanding work, and demonstrate a positive work ethic. Successful candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and desire to continue learning as well as mentor others. He or she will also strive to provide quality service, be conscientious and responsive.

Entry Level Environmental Scientist
CONSTRUCTION QUALITY ASSURANCE

This position is a full time, year round position and requires extensive travel to job sites for periods of time, typically around 3 to 9 months at a time (per diem allowance and vehicle are provided for out of town assignments). This position requires at least 1 to 2 years of proven solid waste field inspection work or 3 to 4 years of proven heavy civil soil testing and inspection experience.
Dependability, timeliness, and honesty
Ability to read and interpret project specifications and plans related primarily to earthworks, geosynthetics, and drainage structures
Ability to work hours typically in excess of 60 hours per week on a 6 to 7 day per week schedule
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with co-workers, clients, contractors, and State agencies
Ability to take well documented notes on construction activities performed by contractors and on soil tests performed
Ability to perform in-place soils density testing
Ability to lift weight of approximately 100 pounds
Minimum of High School diploma or higher educational background
Clean driver's record
