Joel Scott

Mr. Scott is a Vice-President and the Discipline Manager of Landfill Operations at ACC. He has a Bachelors Degree in Wildlife Biology from North Carolina State and a Masters Degree in Wildlife Management from Ohio State University and 25 plus years in the solid waste industry in private, public and regulatory sectors.

He specializes in all aspects of environmental compliance and operation of solid waste landfills. He has managed or directed projects including the design, permitting, and construction of solid waste landfills, landfill gas systems, wastewater disposal, and other projects. Mr. Scott has provided environmental compliance expertise for landfills and other solid waste facilities in 10 states.

Mr. Scott also has frontline experience managing a 3,000+ ton per day (tpd) municipal solid waste landfill. He served on the SWANA-Georgia Chapter/ EPD Advisory Board, and serves as instructor for Landfill Operator Certification Training Workshop Instructor. Mr. Scott managed the 2003/2004 update of the Georgia Landfill Operator Certification Training Workshop materials. He is a Certified Landfill Operator in the state of Georgia.
