Richard Deason, P.E.

Richard Deason co-founded Atlantic Coast Consulting, Inc. (ACC) in 2005 and is the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, Mr. Deason is responsible for the day to day operation of the company but he also serves as a project manager and senior design engineer on key projects. He has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech, a Masters Business Administration, Finance from Georgia State University, and is a registered professional engineer.

His professional engineering and business management education and background combine to provide a unique perspective for most projects. He has experience in all elements of landfill design, permitting, construction administration, and construction quality assurance (CQA). His project-related responsibilities range from conceptual landfill studies to preparation of construction plans, specifications, estimates, permit documents, and construction management.

In addition to the design aspects of these projects, he serves as project manager with responsibilities which include coordination of various other consultants, coordination with regulatory agencies, review meetings with clients, control of project schedule, and monitoring of project budget. He is a native of Coastal Georgia being born and raised in Savannah.
