Central Transfer Station LEED Certification - SCS Engineers
Atlantic Coast Consulting (ACC) was retained by SCS Engineers (SCS) to assist in getting DeKalb County Georgia’s Central Transfer Station LEED Certified in accordance with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) requirements. The new $24 million Central Transfer Station has a totally enclosed 40,000 square foot tipping floor to receive and process municipal solid waste (MSW), yard debris, and single stream recyclables. A two story administration building with over 13,000 square feet was constructed adjacent to Transfer Station to house many of DeKalb Sanitation’s administrative staff.
Preliminary Transfer Station Design Documents - Browning-Ferris Industries
Atlantic Coast Consulting (ACC) staff prepared preliminary construction drawings for a 250 TPD transfer station for Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI). The plans included a conceptual site plan, building floor plans and sections, construction details, electrical, and mechanical design specifications. The documents were suitable for the pricing of construction by design-build contractors. ACC staff assisted BFI in placing the conceptual design on various sites in Mississippi, North Carolina, and Virginia.
Marble Mill Transfer Station Construction Documents - Browning-Ferris Industries
Atlantic Coast Consulting (ACC) staff prepared construction drawings for a 1,000 TPD transfer station for Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI) in Marietta, Georgia. The plans included a site plan, soil and erosion control plans, utility plans, grading and drainage plans, building floor plans and sections, construction details, electrical, and mechanical design specifications. The plans were permitted through the City of Marietta. ACC staff provided bid assistance and periodic construction observations.
